Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Dining: Where to Eat in the Wild Outer Rim

After a long day of traveling across the planet to find some power converters, all you really want is to grab a drink at the local cantina and maybe indulge in a juicy meiloorun fruit. But just as you take that first, refreshing sip, ruffians like Han Solo and Greedo start fighting or a bounty hunter like Cad Bane blows the entire place up. (Never mind what goes on at Hondo Ohnaka’s drinking establishment!)

So, how do you find some Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge dining that doesn’t involve blaster fire for dessert?

Well, luckily for you, I’ve been on Batuu for a few rotations, and I’m happy to play tour guide—for a few intergalactic credits, of course. Just follow me, and I promise you won’t go hungry or end up as Bantha fodder. These places are the (Loth) cat’s meow!

Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Dining: Bites of Batuu

Here in Batuu (located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios), we’ve got five Star Wars themed restaurants to please your palate and transport you to a galaxy far, far away. Enjoy a sit-down dining experience or just grab a quick, frozen drink to go! Way out here, our dishes are all “farm to table” so you can be sure every bite is a true taste of Batuu, right down to the fried wamprat.1

Ha! You should see the look on your face! Don’t worry, we don’t really eat wamprats here. That kind of stuff is for Sand People.

Whether you need to refuel a star cruiser or your stomach, you’ve come to the right place. Oh, and if you’re interested in supporting the rise of the resistance, you’re also in the right place. Just head over to the Black Spire Outpost. That’s what I hear anyway—and you didn’t hear anything from me.

My only interest is in getting some good grub. So, let’s head to our first totally explosion-free restaurant.

(Want to dress like a Batuu local, while you’re at it? Here’s a guide for that!)

Oga’s Cantina: Jams and Drinks

Like I said, I’m taking you to the safest Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge dining locales…but if there were an exception to that rule, it would probably be Oga’s Cantina.

We all know how cantinas can be. The drinks are strong and the music is loud. Even a Mandolorian might be tempted to take off their helmet and just let loose. If you like the party scene, then Oga’s is the place to be! Just pretend you don’t see the smuggling deals going down in the back, and you should be fine.

Be aware that beyond seating at the bar, Oga’s is pretty much standing room only. Advanced reservations are highly recommended if you want to get in at all. It’s the top watering hole in Batuu, after all.

Although no one has ever actually seen Oga, she makes some pretty mean drinks, and there’s something for star hoppers of every age. You can grab something on the strong side in the form of a Bloody Rancor or Fuzzy Tauntaun, while Baby Yoda can sip on a tall glass of Jabba Juice or Blurrgfire.

The presentation of the drinks is half the fun. Each one is brightly colored, and certain concoctions contain popping pearls or are topped with goodies (like a rancor bone!). Others are served foaming, fizzing, or steaming! While Oga does have a small snack selection, a visit here is really about the drinks, so come thirsty!

And come ready to jam—you’ll love the snazzy musical selections of DJ droid, R-3X (also known as “REX”). He’s no BB-8, but this funky little droid is the perfect mascot for Batuu’s cantina scene.

Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo: Refuel and Recharge

When travelers like yourself ask me where to eat at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, I take ’em straight to “Cookie.” (And it has nothing to do with the fact I’ve got a several-thousand-credit deal going with him!)

Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs whips up delicious meals full of exotic flavors in Docking Bay 7. He’s traveled all across the galaxy to bring these brilliant flavors back to little old Batuu, and one bite of his smoked kaadu pork ribs is enough to send you into orbit.

While Cookie specializes in hearty, meat entrees like Batuuan beef stir-fry or fried Endorian chicken, he also serves up excellent plant-based meatballs and hummus for any vegetarian species who might frequent the Docking Bay. You can order right at the counter or use your trusty com-link to order in mobile fashion!

Ronto Roasters: This is the Droid You’re Looking For

Here, in the center of the Black Spire Outpost marketplace, is the one and only Ronto Roasters. Grab some crunchy, seasoned pork rinds for snacking, or sink your teeth into a Ronto Wrap stuffed with roasted pork, grilled pork sausage, and tangy slaw.

The pit-master droid at Ronto is the best in the Outer Rim!

He’s even got planted-based wraps, including a scrumptious Zuchii Wrap brimming with Batuu-grown and grilled zucchini, smoky chickpea-onion slaw, all slathered in garlic-tahini sauce. The pit-master droid is also ready and willing to adjust his wraps to suit the needs of gluten, wheat, milk, or soy allergy considerations!

Kat Saka’s Kettle: What’s Poppin?

Also located in the market is Kat Saka’s Kettle, a colorful, quick-service snack shop!

Kat is famous for one thing, and that’s Outpost Popcorn. Not unlike Mantell Mix (a snack favored by Clone Trooper Wrecker, of Bad Batch fame), Outpost Popcorn is served piping hot and seasoned with the perfect blend of spicy and sweet. Kat will also hook you up with a refreshing soda, bottled in one of Batuu’s stylish orb containers.

Milk Stand: Blues and Greens

Though perhaps not as lively as Oga’s Canita, Batuu’s Milk Stand is surely the most iconic of the Star Wars themed restaurants. After all, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker himself is the poster child for both blue and green milk.

If you, too, want to experience the refreshing taste of the galaxy’s strangest drink, then definitely make sure you order one of the Milk Stand’s frosty delights. Made from a blend of coconut and rice milk, the blue variety is wonderfully fruity, while the green takes on a more citrusy tang and tropical tones.

Either way, you really can’t go wrong. Colorful milk is the locals’ favorite way to beat the Batuu heat!

As you can see, where to eat at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge doesn’t have to be an overwhelming question—at least not when you have an intrepid tour guide like me! So, about those credits…
