Legoland Water Park – Where Creativity Makes a Huge Splash!
If there’s one thing we can always count on Legoland to do, it’s taking an already amazing activity and putting a quirky, creative twist on it. That’s exactly what Legoland Water Park has to offer: water park rides with a healthy dose of that classic Lego creativity!
Here’s why the Legoland Water Park deserves a spot on your Florida vacation itinerary!
You’re Gonna Need to Build-A-Boat!
One of our favorite parts about the Legoland Water Park is the Build-A-Boat attraction. (Not to be mistaken with Build-A-Bear. That’s a different franchise altogether, LOL!).
Build-A-Boat is the perfect place to make a splash with the most creative concepts you can come up with. Nestled in the all-new location, Creative Cove, you can combine everything you love about Lego with the fun and sun of a classic water park.
In addition to splashing and basking, you’ll also get to build your very own Lego watercraft. Take this as a challenge to create the wildest, most unique creation you can conjure up. You have everything you need at your disposal to build an amazing, unsinkable ship. Just take care if you decide to model it after the Titanic!
Ready, Set, Sail!
When you’ve perfected your creation, take it to the starting line of Creative Cove, get set, and release it into the current! Pit your craft against your friends, or make a few new buddies as you and your fellow creators take part in some friendly competition. By putting your ship to the test, you can tweak it and refine it to make it the best it can be, proving you’re the ultimate Lego creator!
While you’re there, you can also enjoy complimentary wifi and other comforts. It’s a great place to kick off your day with a bang or to take a bit of a breather in the middle of your water park adventures. Parents will love the chance to sit back while the kiddos build their best-ever creations – or they can get in on the fun, too!
Built-a-Raft Lazy River: Build Your Way to Relaxation
A classic among water park rides, the lazy river is central to any water park experience, and you’ll know you’ve reached Legoland’s Built-a-Raft Lazy River when you see the giant Lego lifeguard! In addition to keeping everyone safe, this watchful guard is also busy keeping people cool with a spray of sparkling water.
Knowing you’re under a watchful eye, you can let your cares melt away and float along this 1,000-foot-long lazy river, leisurely bobbing along in the lapping waves. Make sure you stop to admire all of the playful Lego models, beautiful flowering vegetation and also enjoy the shade provided by the gorgeous palm trees!
Although the pace of this place is slower than the rest of the water park, don’t be lulled into thinking there’s nothing exciting going on here!
You see, the Built-a-Raft Lazy River poses a big question: Who can build the biggest, unbeatable Lego raft?? Using the giant Lego blocks, imagine, design, and build an airtight raft that can stand the waves of the lazy river and prove that the answer is you!
With an unparalleled building opportunity, and maybe even a little competition, there’s not a dull moment on the Lazy River for the kiddos, but (thankfully) Mom and Dad can totally just kick back and lounge in the gentle waters.
Joker Soaker – Splish, Splash, and Play
This interactive play area is basically a gigantic combination playground and water park – what more could a kid possibly want? Run, jump, climb, slip, splash, slide, and get soaked to your heart’s content as you soak up the warm sun and enjoy the day in this interactive play area. It’s filled with climbing areas, slides, and more for you to discover. If you get lucky, you’ll even get a mega splash from the gigantic 300-gallon water bucket that sends out a massive spray!
Surf’s Up! – LEGO Wave Pool
When you see the awesome shark and scuba diver décor on the wall, you’ll know you’ve reached the wave pool. The decorations will make you feel like an undersea explorer as you catch some waves and bob up and down in the current. It’s the perfect place to cool off, and the waves are just big enough for all ages to enjoy. Leap into the waves, grab a paddleboard, or just float along and enjoy the ride.
Splash Out Waterslide
Are you brave enough to tackle the Splash Out waterslide solo? Take a deep breath, get ready, get set, and zoom down a curving blue slide. At the end, you’ll burst into a huge pool of water, sending a spectacular splash out to everyone watching. Thrill-seekers can even choose their own adventure here! Make it your own!
Twin Chasers – Double Dog Dare You!
Sometimes the best adventures are the ones we embark on with a friend. Grab your buddies and go for a slide together down the Twin Chasers. This attraction involves riding super-fast tubes 375 feet down a winding pair of closed water slides. Scream your head off as you soar down the slide, then plunge into a refreshing pool of water below!
Our favorite part of this ride is the fact that it feels like a new experience every time you share the journey with someone new. If you’re traveling with a group or with your whole family, you’ll want to go on it again and again, so you can share the experience of Twin Chasers with everybody!
