Top 10 Legoland Florida Rides Ranked by Fun Factor!

Building great memories is easy at Legoland Florida. With over 50 rides and attractions, there’s never a shortage of things to see and do! Nevertheless, there are some rides that simply can’t be missed. That’s why we’ve got our ten favorite Legoland Florida rides ranked by fun factor for you to check out!

Our main criteria for “fun factor” is intensity and immersiveness. The more intense and immersive the ride, the more entertaining and enjoyable the experience. Of course, a ride’s status as a beloved classic can also help boost its ranking, even if it’s not as flashy as newer additions.

Essentially, these are the rides we think complete a trip to Legoland Florida – sort of like getting Dole Whip at Disney World. It’s just not a real visit without it!

Now, without further ado, let’s hop onto the BEST rides in all of Legoland – hang on tight!

Legoland Florida Rides Ranked

We’ll be counting down to our number one pick and explaining a bit about each ride along the way. While ranking rides is definitely subjective, we’ve done our best to put aside bias… or at least be upfront about why we love these rides so much and why we think you’ll love them, too!

Honorable Mention: Ford Driving School

Sorry, parents – this one is for kids only (ages 6 to 13)! Nevertheless, we had to give it a mention because of how fun it is for those who can ride!

Kids can take to the road in their own Lego vehicle on this trackless, go-kart-ish ride. However, since they’re in Lego City, they’ll need to obey traffic signs, be careful of the other riders, and refrain from off-roading!

It’s a great way for eager future drivers to get their first taste of what it’s really like to get behind the wheel. A Lego Driver’s License can even be purchased as a souvenir! (Disclaimer: a Lego Driver’s License is only legal within Legoland. Please don’t use it on the actual interstate!)

10. Unikitty’s Disco Drop

Unikitty is not only the most adorable Lego character to date, but she’s also in possession of one of our top ten rides at Legoland Florida!

Unikitty’s Disco Drop is an unconventional mini-drop ride that employs catchy music and extra motions. Instead of simply going up and dropping back down, Unikitty takes you up, spins you around, and bounces you back down to earth. It’s totally in character with her playful personality!

Guests must be 40 inches to ride up to Cloud Cuckoo Land with Unikitty, but all ages can get a kick out of this cute ride. Indeed, Unikitty’s utter adorableness is what helped her bounce onto our top ten list!

9. Kid Power Towers

There’s no storyline or crazy theming with this ride, but the adrenaline rush is real. Kid Power Towers had to be part of our top ten rides at Legoland Florida!

Kids (and their parents or guardians) will use ropes to pull themselves up to the top of a colorful tower where they can enjoy gorgeous aerial views of Lake Eloise – right before frantically free-falling back to earth!

Although set up like your average drop ride, the interactive aspect of hoisting your own seating platform to the top makes the Power Towers unique and extra fun. Although the drop is nothing to sneeze at, it’s not too rough, and with a minimum height requirement of 38 inches, even your littlest Lego fans can take part.

8. Mia’s Riding Adventure

Based on the popular Lego Friends sets, Mia’s Riding Adventure will have you take to the sky aboard the back of a trusty horse!

In semi-carousel fashion, a herd of Lego horses is attached to a rotating disc. Each rider will board a horse before this disc coaster swings back and forth and starts spinning. The movements of this ride are liable to make your stomach do some flip-flops, so take care if you’re prone to motion sickness…and maybe don’t ride this one right after lunch!

The vibrant colors and equestrian theming of this ride are incredibly bright, happy, and hard to resist! Nevertheless, riders must be 48 inches or taller to ride.

7. Lost Kingdom Adventure

Lost Kingdom Adventure has some of the most immersive theming of the Legoland rides, making it a popular attraction and an obvious choice for our top ten rides at Legoland Florida.

This dark ride takes you through an Egyptian tomb and on a quest to find a hidden treasure! You’ll encounter mummies and skeletons along the way, but that’s why you’ve got a laser gun. Try to hit as many targets as you can to rack up points and beat the score of your fellow explorers!

While it sounds like the scariest ride at Legoland, thanks to the skeletons and mummies, these characters are cartoonish in nature, so even young brick builders shouldn’t feel too anxious going on this adventure. With a minimum rider height of 30 inches, it truly is meant to be fun for everybody!

6. Coastersaurus

Coastersaurus is so fun! An old-school wooden roller coaster, this ride takes you into a jungle inhabited by animated and life-sized Lego dinosaurs! How cool is that??

Although there are no loop-de-loops, there are plenty of twists, turns, and enough speed to get your heart thumping. Perfect for the whole family, Coastersaurus is a must-ride at Legoland Florida. (Minimum rider height is 42 inches.)

Fun Fact: Coastersaurus is actually an original attraction from the lovely Cypress Gardens!

5. Flying School

There’s nothing particularly “Lego-y” about the Flying School ride, but it’s one of the biggest and coolest roller coasters in Legoland, Florida, hence its decently high ranking. A little more theming would probably push it into our top three.

Flying School provides some excellent thrills, regardless of age. A suspended coaster, it gives you the feeling of flight, legs dangling in the air as you twist and turn through the sky at a lightning-fast pace. The sensation of gliding through the clouds is really terrific!

Riders must be at least 44 inches tall to enroll in Flying School.

4. THE LEGO MOVIE Masters of Flight

A combination of screen-made action and real movement makes this ride wonderfully immersive and fun!

THE LEGO MOVIE Masters of Flight is a suspended ride that moves along to the story happening on a full-dome visual screen. Your ride vehicle is a triple-decker-couch, just like in the movie, and you’ll recognize characters and settings from the LEGO movie, too!

In addition to some 4D elements, like scents, the ride also uses amazing new technology to complete a 180-degree turn – the first ride of its kind in the United States!

Guests must be at least 40 inches tall to board the triple-decker-couch.

3. The Dragon

The Dragon is a Legoland Florida classic that shouldn’t be missed.

This smooth gliding steel roller coaster is an indoor/outdoor ride that takes you through an enchanted medieval Lego castle. Ride on the back of a friendly, green dragon and soar through castle courtyards and into the open sky!

With a 40-inch height requirement, this ride is great for kiddos who are newer to coasters, but old pros will enjoy it, too. In fact, The Dragon is one of Legoland Florida’s most popular rides, so expect a bit of a wait time for this one!

2. LEGO NINJAGO the Ride

Become a ninja and reach your full potential by training where the original ninja once trained. But beware! Enemies abound in this sacred place, and it will take all of your skill to beat them!

Enter the world of Ninjago on this one-of-a-kind dark ride where screens bring enthralling scenes to life, and 4D effects like wind and lightning put you in control of the elements. Like Lost Kingdom Adventures, you’re seeking to take down bad guys, but rather than a laser gun, you have to use special ninja hand signals!

A trusty guide will teach you these hand signs before the ride begins, and sensors will capture your movements and then translate the appropriate action to the screen.2 It’s rather thrilling to have the power to conjure fireballs!

Riders of all ages – and especially fans of the Ninjago franchise – are sure to enjoy this immersive experience thoroughly!

1. The Great LEGO Race

This coaster is one of the most action-packed in the whole park, and with the addition of a VR headset, it’s also immensely immersive, allowing it to climb to our number one spot.

This coaster also climbs to heights of 50 feet and reaches speeds of 35 mph. It makes excellent use of sharp twists and daring turns, each movement enhanced in Lego virtual reality.

You’ll find yourself racing against a fun cast of Lego characters – from wizards to surfers to pharaohs! The VR follows your gaze in every direction and is timed with the dips and drops of the coaster to provide the most exciting experience possible.

While this helps the coaster rank high in intensity, it’s still totally kid-friendly, with a height restriction of 42 inches. The Great LEGO Race roller coaster is absolutely a must for any Legoland Florida vacation day!
