Winter break is a great time to get away for a family vacation. You can celebrate the holidays and escape the cold! Christmas at LEGOLAND Florida is all about fun, and it’s an absolute must-do if you have kiddos in tow. (It’s also perfect for folks who just love LEGOS! And don’t we all?)
Of course, LEGOLAND is a fantastic vacation destination all year round, but holidays at LEGOLAND are particularly special. There are extra events and shows, seasonal decor, tasty treats, and even fireworks! It’s hard to imagine a more exciting celebration than the LEGOLAND Christmas extravaganza.
If you’ve been thinking of going to LEGOLAND, now might just be the perfect time! The park will be celebrating the Holly Jolly season for just over two months, so there are several opportunities to get in on the action! We’ve got everything you need to know, from dates to details about dazzling light shows.
Let’s go!
Christmas at LEGOLAND Florida: Dates and Details
At LEGOLAND Florida, Christmas is a time for building amazing memories and keeping family connections strong. That’s why there’s something for all ages to enjoy! But before we get into the assortment of activities, let’s see exactly when this holiday bash begins.
LEGOLAND Christmas festivities kick off on November 24, 2023, and continue on select dates through December 31st. Here’s the complete line-up:
November: 24-26
December: 2-3, 9-10, 16-17, 22-31
If you’re hoping to partake in the holiday fun, be sure to schedule your LEGOLAND visit for one of these weekends leading up to Christmas or sometime during that last week of December. One of the best parts about this Yuletide event is that it’s included with your regular LEGOLAND admission! No extra tickets are required to participate in this seasonal soiree.
LEGOLAND Florida Christmas: A Winter FUNderland!
There’s so much to see, do, and create at LEGOLAND Florida on any given day, but during the holidays, there are also exclusive activities to help build up your Christmas spirit! The dance parties, delicious treats, and Christmas bricktacular at LEGOLAND Florida display all culminate in the most colorful celebration of the season!
Send Your Letter to Santa
Not sure how many stamps it takes to get a letter to the North Pole? No worries! During Christmas at LEGOLAND Florida, the park hosts a Holiday Village Postal Service that’ll get your wishlist right to Santa – LEGO Santa, that is! (I bet you didn’t know there were different Santas, did you?)
It’s the perfect time for the littles to ask for the latest LEGO Ninjago set or for you to request an adult LEGO set, like the gorgeous 12,000 piece world map!
No matter what you wish for, letter delivery is guaranteed. In fact, you’ll get to see it reach Santa via a digital screen! The Holiday Village Postal Service might just be the best post office in Florida.
Rockin’ Around the Brickmas Tree
LEGOLAND is known for its enormous and breathtaking LEGO creations, and during Christmas, they take their constructions to the next level with a truly massive LEGO tree that stretches 30 feet into the sky! Just like a real live Christmas tree, this bricktastic beauty is also decked out in colorful lights that twinkle in time to holiday tunes. Dance around the tree with family, friends, and some of your favorite holiday LEGO characters!
But First, Let Me Take an “Elfie”
Speaking of LEGO characters, it wouldn’t be Christmas at LEGOLAND Florida without getting to see our favorite friends like LEGO Santa, LEGO Gingerbread Man, LEGO Toy Soldier, and even Unikitty from The LEGO Movie! We love a good Unikitty meet and greet, and at this time of year, you’ll get to see her decked out in her holiday best! Make sure you and fam take plenty of “elfies” with everyone; you’ll definitely want these snaps for the scrapbook – or your yearly Christmas cards!
There are also plenty of seasonal builds, like the LEGO Christmas tree or life sized LEGO reindeer and sleigh, that make for sensationally cute backdrops!
Shows and Snacks
LEGOLAND Christmas events are known for delightful shows with a signature sense of slapstick humor. We expect “North Pole Nonsense” to return as the entertainment for the 2023 season, and we’re ready to belly laugh with (and sometimes at) Santa’s silliest elves!
We’re also excited to get snacking! Whether it’s Christmas at LEGOLAND Florida or Christmas at home, delicious food is an integral part of the celebration. Here at the park, you’ll find several sweet selections, including a Holly Jolly Christmas Cake (moist red velvet cake layered with decadent cream cheese frosting and topped with a swirl of green frosting and sprinkles).
You can also enjoy an entirely Christmas-themed meal, thanks to the Merry Berry Turkey Burger, which piles Christmas dinner into a sandwich and drizzles it with cranberry chipotle aioli. There’s also Granny’s Gingerbread-Spiced Apple Fries served with melt-in-your-mouth cookie butter for dipping, as well as the Wintery Peppermint Milkshake, a rich and refreshing ice cream treat.
Light Up The Night Sky
While Christmas is the main focus of this LEGOLAND party, there’s also a special celebration for New Year’s. As of writing, we’re still waiting for the exact dates of the 2023 fireworks shows, but the explosive event has been officially added to the list of LEGOLAND holiday attractions!
On select nights, you and the fam can sit and back and watch as breathtaking fireworks illuminate the sky above the park, celebrating the good times from 2023 and welcoming in 2024. The coolest part is how the fireworks burst into 3D images of LEGO bricks!
We expect the fireworks show to kick off around 8:00 p.m. with groovy music and a New Year’s “brick drop.” We love the kid-friendly kickoff time, as midnight can really stretch the bedtime routine!
Christmas at LEGOLAND Florida is one of the most family-friendly theme park celebrations of the season, and we think you and the kiddos will have an absolute blast if you decide to go!
