If you are familiar with the ride, Living With The Land, located inside the Land pavilion at EPCOT, then you’ve already been inside the greenhouses that this tour takes you through. However, you would not have been able to walk around, observing the plants, fish, and insects up close. You also wouldn’t have access to special, exclusive information only offered by knowledgeable EPCOT horticulturists/tour guides!

The BTS tour takes participating guests inside several different greenhouses and laboratories filled with new innovative ways to grow and cultivate agriculture of all varieties. There’s also a unique fish farm that the tour guides walk you through. It’s the ultimate behind-the-scenes walk-through! If you’ve been on the ride, Living With The Land, you may have noticed some guests walking through and wondered what they’re doing… this is your answer!
The tour usually lasts about an hour and is always led by a great EPCOT horticulturist who specializes in many of the topics discussed on the tour – so trust us, they know what they’re talking about!
One of the most fascinating parts about this tour is that EPCOT is pioneering some impressive agricultural methods that you’ll be able to see at work for yourself.

How Often Do They Give Behind The Seeds Tours?
The tours leave about every hour, with the first time slot available usually beginning around 10:30 am. The tours will be held until around 4:30 pm each day. Make sure you reserve a tour time slot in advance so that you don’t miss your chance!
This tour is highly sought after, so not only do you want to reserve it in advance, but also make sure you are 15-20 minutes early to your time slot!
What Else Do You Need To Know About Behind The Seeds?
This is definitely a kid-friendly tour! If you’re under 18, you must have a parent or guardian with you.
This tour can also be interactive, which means you may have the opportunity to participate in some way. This could look like tasting one of the edible vegetation or even holding one in your hand. Depending on the tour guide you have, you might even be offered the chance to use a magnifying glass to see some insects up close.
The tour is accessible for those with wheelchairs and ECVs as well.
You’ll need a park admission ticket as well in order to participate in Disney’s Behind The Seeds tour. So, the ticket for the tour is in addition to your regular park ticket for EPCOT.
Wear comfortable shoes for walking! This one-hour tour never involves an opportunity to sit down, so you will be standing and walking for the duration of the hour. Come prepared.
Don’t forget to spot the Hidden Mickeys! If you look hard enough, there are some fun hidden mickeys throughout this tour. Your tour guide may even point one or two out to your group.
(Spoiler alert: Sometimes the agriculture is literally grown purposely in the shape of Mickey.)

Although prices fluctuate depending on the time of year, tickets to the Behind The Seeds tour are priced typically $35 per person before tax at the time of publication.
