Sesame Street Land: Sensational Fun at SeaWorld Orlando!

Back in the day, the only way to get to Sesame Street was to turn on the TV and tune in to PBS – or pull out a well-worn VHS tape. (Does anybody else still have their copy of Sing, Hoot & Howl??)

Now, in a fantastic turn of events, you can get to Sesame Street by simply traveling to SeaWorld Orlando!

Like Diagon Alley in Universal’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter, SeaWorld Orlando‘s Sesame Street Land is a faithful recreation of your favorite neighborhood from the small screen. Step right up to the stoop of 123, explore the wares of Hooper’s Store, and even pay a visit to Big Bird’s Nest!

Packed with rides, special activities, and a warm welcome from your best buddies (like Bert and Ernie!), Sesame Street Land is an enjoyable diversion, especially for the kiddos in your SeaWorld entourage.

Oh, and the best part? Sesame Street Land is included with your SeaWorld Orlando admission!

Fantastic Rides for Young and Old

Sesame Street Land is practically a theme park of its own with an array of amazing rides that will thrill kiddos and secretly delight parents, too! Fun has no age limit!

Abby’s Flower Tower

Just a sprinkle of magic from Abby Cadabby’s wand and you’ll be up, up, and away! (As a fairy-in-training, she knows a thing or two about flying!) Climb aboard a sprightly-colored flower pot and find yourself spinning high above Sesame Street, enjoying a truly spectacular view of SeaWorld Orlando.

Big Bird’s Twirl ‘N’ Whirl

Big Bird’s here with his own spin on the classic teacup ride! Instead of taking a turn in a piece of fine china, you’ll hop into your very own nest. How cozy!

With the center wheel, it’s up to you how fast (or how slow) you want to spin. Try not to get too dizzy!

This kid-friendly drop-tower lets you experience what it’s like to be a cookie; specifically the sensation of plummeting straight into Cookie Monster’s tummy! It’s just the right amount of thrill for adventurous youngsters and maybe-not-quite-so-adventurous-anymore parentals.

Elmo’s Choo Choo Train

Enjoy an interactive ride with Elmo as he shows off – not his pet goldfish – but rather his insect friends! Butterflies, caterpillars, and very special Twiddlebugs make an appearance on this gentle ride through nature.

Slimey’s Slider

Despite being totally adorable, Slimey hasn’t always had the most screen time. Nevertheless, he was one of my absolute favorite Sesame Street pals growing up. Finally, SeaWorld is doing this winsome worm justice by providing him with his own ride! Board a special “boat,” then swoop, swivel, and slide (or sing, hoot, and howl) your way through Oscar the Grouch’s prized compost collection!

A traditional merry-go-round with Sesame Street style steeds (read: cuuute!). Perfect for anyone who loves a good turn around a carousel and great photo-ops!

Super Grover’s Box Car Derby

Join up with Super Grover for a super good time! This family-friendly roller coaster has heart-thumping hills, twisty turns, and mini-dives to get your adrenaline going. (Don’t worry, it’s not too intense!) Made with steel, you can rest assured that Super Grover’s Box Car Derby is a smooth ride…unlike the rickety wooden coasters I made my parents endure during my childhood. (Sorry about that!)

Fabulous Friendships

The best part of visiting Sesame Street is getting to meet your favorite characters.

Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Elmo, Bert, Ernie, Oscar the Grouch, Grover, Abby, and my childhood favorite – Count von Count (ironic, since I’m terrible at math) – are all there for hugs, laughs, and unforgettable photos!

Make memories that will last a lifetime as your kiddos hi-five Big Bird, or fulfill your own inner child by snapping a selfie with Oscar the Grouch – a muppet who becomes more relatable the older I get.

In addition to character meet and greets, you can catch also catch your furry friends in the Sesame Street Party Parade! Groove to the music as Big Bird & Co. accompany the most fashionable floats around!

Play, Eat, Shop, Repeat

If the fantastic rides weren’t enough, Sesame Street Land also hosts two playgrounds!

Rosita’s Harmony Hills is a musical playground where kiddos can jam with drums and ring delightfully jingly-jangly bells to create their own symphony of sound as they crawl and climb across the play area.

Rubber Duckie Water Works is a mini waterpark where you can beat the Florida heat! With fountains, jets, and blasts of burbling, bubbly water, kids are sure to have a splash-tastic time with Ernie. Just remember – you gotta put down the duckie if you wanna play the saxophone!

Of course, all that running around is sure to work up an appetite. But don’t worry! If your tummy starts grumbling, you can head on over to one of Sesame Street’s food trucks for a tasty snack or refreshing drink. (Or you can have a ladybug picnic.)

ABC Eats offers kid-friendly options like chicken tenders while Yummy Yummy Nom Noms has some mouthwatering grilled cheese sandwiches. (And let’s be honest, even as adults, those are good eats!) Sesame Sips, your one-stop shop for drinks, makes fresh smoothies with real fruit AND offers soft-serve ice cream. Now that’s a quality food truck.

Lastly, if you or your kiddos are in the market for a Sesame Street souvenir, head on over to Hooper’s Store to browse through plush characters and T-shirts, or pick up Elmo’s Interactive Light-Up Bubble Wand that unlocks hidden surprises around the street!

Since its opening in 2019, Sesame Street Land has quickly become a favorite spot in SeaWorld Orlando. Geared perfectly for youngsters and brimming with things to do, this mini-park is a full day in and of itself.
