LEGOLAND Brick-or-Treat: Building a Happy Halloween for 2023!
We all love classic door-to-door trick-or-treating, but the LEGOLAND Brick-or-Treat event really builds on that idea, adding all sorts of bricktastic fun to create an amazing masterpiece of a Monster Party. Featuring larger-than-life LEGO build activities, nightly fireworks, and spooktacular sweets, this kid-friendly Halloween event is the perfect twist on a classic Halloween celebration!
LEGOLAND Brick-or-Treat Instruction Manual
Every LEGO set comes with an instruction manual to help your build go smoothly, and we’re here with all of the details (like dates and times) so you can build the perfect Brick-or-Treat experience! But what exactly is the LEGOLAND Brick-or-Treat event?
Every year, LEGOLAND Florida puts on the ultimate family Halloween celebration in the form of the spookiest, zaniest trick-or-treating party you can imagine—complete with tons of LEGO fun! There are several different activities, like dance parties and LEGO Monster meet-and-greets, which we’ll discuss further in just a bit!
Keep in mind that Brick-or-Treat only takes place on select Saturdays and Sundays throughout September and October, so plan your visit accordingly! Here are the dates monsters will be invading LEGOLAND during the 2023 spooky season:
September: 16, 23, 30
October: 7-8, 14-15, 21-22, 28-29
The Legoland Brick-or-Treat hours are the same as park hours, with festivities happening all throughout the day, although the Brick-or-Treat stations don’t start opening for candy distribution until about 1:00 pm. When night falls, the party goes out with a bang as a dazzling fireworks show lights up the sky at around 8:00 pm.
Florida afternoons can get pretty hot, even in the fall, so we’d suggest keeping costumes light and airy if you or your little ones choose to dress up! There are several shows you may want to attend as well, and while it’s possible to see them all, it can take a little strategic planning as they are scattered across the LEGOLAND park. We highly recommend going in with a Halloween game plan!
How much is Brick-or-Treat at LEGOLAND? Admission to Brick-or-Treat is included with daily tickets, hotel packages, and select annual passes—no extra ticket or added entrance fee is necessary to party. Simply show up in your best costume and be ready to dance, sing, eat sweets, and live your best LEGO life!
Brick-or-Treat Activities
Brick-or-Treat is so much more than just a trick-or-treating event. Here’s what you can expect! (Spoiler alert: everything is awesome!!)
Brick-or-Treating at the Park
It’s not Halloween without some classic trick-or-treating! Head to the uniquely themed trick-or-treating stations around the park to grab some sweet treats. Past years have included offerings like hard candies, gummies, and even some healthier treats like Clif bars. You never know what you’ll get, so make sure you find every station!
Historically, there have been seven stations:
- Ghoulish Graveyard Sweets in Fun Town
- Happy Harvest Candy Patch at Duplo Valley
- Critter Candy at Kingdoms Stage
- Desert Desserts in the Land of Adventure
- Cauldron of Candy at LEGO City Stage
- Shipwreck Treats in Pirate’s Cove
- Wolf Sighting Sweets in LEGO Kingdoms
Legoland Brick-or-Treat hours usually start around 1:00 pm, with staggered openings and closings for the various stations, so you’ll have plenty of time to gather candy before it even gets dark. (The daytime hours of this event make it awesome for kiddos—and grownups!—with regularly scheduled bedtimes.)
SeaWorld Halloween Spooktacular 2023: A Fun-Loving Fall Festival For Big and Small
The SeaWorld Halloween Spooktacular is a daytime celebration where kids (and adults!) can dress up and enjoy the oceanic park as trick-or-treaters! Colorful and fun, only the light-hearted side of Halloween is on display at this soiree, making it the perfect party for families or folks like me whose scary threshold is watching Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase!.
Pro tip: you can revisit treat stations! The staff dole out treats by the handful, so you’ll have an easy time filling up your pumpkin pail. If you’re diligent, you can visit the different stations as many times as you like. Oh, and adults are welcome to participate, too! (YAY!) If you’re a grown-up missing the magic of Halloweens gone by, this is the perfect chance for your inner child to run free again.
Spooky Shows and Activities
Things are getting spooky up on the LEGOLAND stage!
Check out the V.I.M. Dance Party hosted by Lord Vampyre for an interactive dance extravaganza! (They did the mash, they did the monster mash…)
Don’t feel like bustin’ moves of your own? You can sit back and watch The Jammin’ Jacks perform some “spooky, kooky” tunes! (If you couldn’t tell by the name, they’re a trio of LEGO jack-o’lanterns.) And if one rockin’ concert wasn’t enough, there’s also the fun and mysterious musical, The UnbeLEAFable Halloween Night, starring the newest monster on the brick, I mean block—LEGO Plant Monster! (Audrey II, is that you??)
In addition to live performances, there’s also a 4D movie to enjoy—The Great Monster Chase! What will happen when four intrepid tweens try to infiltrate a monster party? With LEGO’s classic humor (a combination of wit and slapstick) and special effects like bubbles, wind, and water, you’ll be totally immersed in this Halloween tale!
Hop on the Party Coaster
Board the Disco Dragon Coaster for a one-of-a-kind Halloween party ride! With groovy tunes and bodacious party lights, you’ll want to zoom through the castle again and again!
LEGO Monster Character Experiences
Prepare to meet a spooky squad of larger-than-life LEGO monsters! Rockin’ Frankenstein (with his awesome electric guitar), Mummy Monster, and Lord Vampyre are some of the usual Brick-or-Treat attendees. These meet-and-greets are the perfect chance to snap some spooky selfies!
All Bricks, No Tricks!
Here are our tips for making the most of your Legoland Halloween Brick-or-Treat experience!
Get There Early
Brick-or-Treat is a popular event, so you want to give yourself plenty of time to snag your spot at the shows!
Wear a Costume
Plenty of parkgoers (both kids and adults) keep their Halloween costumes on all day and even participate in the park’s costume parade! Just make sure you’re dressing for the weather and abiding by the park dress code.
Bring a Light
If you’re staying at Brick-or-Treat after dark, it’s a good idea to bring your own light to illuminate your adventures. You can bring light-up bracelets or glow sticks or buy a light-up pumpkin to help you see in the dark. (Cute!)
Know Not All Rides are Open During Brick-or-Treat
If you’re most excited about the rides at LEGOLAND, you might be better off planning your trip for a day when Brick-or-Treat isn’t happening. However, if you find yourself at LEGOLAND during Brick-or-Treat, you’ll probably want to focus on the special seasonal activities anyway! You certainly won’t feel like you’re missing out.
Snag Some Seasonal Snacks & Drinks
If you’re a regular at LEGOLAND, you know all about the year-round fare. But the Halloween season also has seasonal snacks like apple cider, candied apples, pumpkin shakes, and more. Sure, you’ll get plenty of candy from the trick-or-treat activities, but we recommend saving that for when you get home so you can sample some of the seasonal offerings while you’re at Brick-or-Treat. It’ll help you get into the Halloween spirit!
We hope you have a spooktacular time!
