If you love fall most of all, then Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the celebration for you! With just the perfect pinch of spookiness, Disney’s Halloween party is sure to delight—but not fright.
From colorfully costumed characters to yummy autumnally-themed treats, the Magic Kingdom is going to be hopping this Halloween. So dress up in your own not-too-scary costume and join the party—Mickey is waiting for us!
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Tickets
Everyone is invited to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! (Yes, that means you!)
However, you will need tickets. Separate from a day pass to the park, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets can be purchased on Disney’s website. As the event grows closer, tickets will begin to sell out, with nights in October generally selling out first. With that in mind, you may want to consider snagging your tickets sooner rather than later, especially if you have a particular date you really want. We should mention that prices do vary based on the date, ranging from $109 to $200, and those closest to Halloween are the most expensive.
For 2023, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party dates run from August 11th to November 1st on select nights. On event nights, the party starts at 7:00 p.m. and lasts until midnight. However, ticket holders are allowed access to the Magic Kingdom starting at 4:00 p.m., giving you time to explore the park and catch a ride or two before the festivities begin.
Note: Mickey’s party does not require an additional theme park admissions ticket or theme park reservation. Guests without a ticket to Mickey’s party will leave the park at 6:00 p.m., which means party-goers can often experience their favorite rides with significantly shorter wait times!
Special (Not-Too-Spooky) Entertainment
There’s so much to see and do at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! From song-and-dance shows to pyrotechnics and parades, you’ll want to catch it all!
Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular
One of the most iconic parts of the Magic Kingdom is the nightly fireworks display. However, this goes on hold during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party to make way for the Not-So-Spooky Spectacular—a frightfully fantastic display of fire in the sky! Kicking off at 10:15 p.m., you’ll want to meander over to Cinderella’s Castle as the night grows ever darker…
With the clever use of projections on Cinderella’s Castle, embark on a journey to a haunted house with Mickey and his friends. Be prepared to encounter the most sinister of Disney villains, as well as dancing skeletons and swaying ghosts!
Folks who love The Nightmare Before Christmas will be pleased with the presence of Jack Skellington, who is set to host this dazzling spectacular once again in 2023.
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
The Sanderson Sisters are back at it with their spellcasting, and this time they’re enchanting the entire Magic Kingdom! With multiple shows each party night, you won’t want to miss the stunning visuals, devious dances, and familiar faces (like Maleficent!) that pop up throughout the performance.
Cadaver Dans
It’s that time of year when the Dapper Dans start decomposing. (Get it? Because they’re cadavers, but “composing” is also musical. *ba dum tsss*)
With puns that are much better than mine and classic four-part harmonies, the Cadaver Dans will entertain you throughout the night with special performances in Frontierland! Haunting melodies, a razor-sharp wit, and dead-pan humor are all part of this Halloween hullabaloo!
Performance times are at 7:00 p.m., 7:45 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 9:50 p.m., and 10:30 p.m., so there are plenty of opportunities to catch this creepy quartet.

Did you know Disney offers a way to enjoy the nightly fireworks show from a reserved seat? Here is everything you need to know about the Magic Kingdom’s Fireworks Dessert Party to decide if it’s worth the splurge for your family!
Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade
Beginning in Frontierland and ending on Main Street, USA, ghastly ghouls, and dastardly deviants will traipse through the Magic Kingdom for a night of haunting in this cadaverous cavalcade!
You’ll enjoy watching Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and their friends trick-or-treat along Main Street, USA. Each one will be decked out in an adorably spooky costume! You’ll probably recognize a few ghosts—and even a bride—from the Haunted Mansion, too!
Beginning at 9:15 p.m. and again at 11:15 p.m., you can pick a time to watch the parade that’s most convenient for you!
More Party Surprises!
The shows are just a part of the fun at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party—there’s even more to experience throughout the park!
Character Meet & Greets
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party characters are one of the best parts of the night!
Classic characters like Mickey and Minnie are dressed in exclusive spooky season garb, and some characters, like Jack Skellington and Sally, are making special appearances just for Halloween! This is a great opportunity for meet and greets you can’t get at any other time.
Exclusive Versions of Rides
One perk of this Halloween party is shorter wait times for rides! While most rides are up and running across the Magic Kingdom (yay!), there are a few that also get a special spooktacular make-over. Check out the Mad Tea Party, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, and Space Mountain for Halloween transformations!
Trick or Treat & Tasty Sweets
The heart of any party is snack time.
Mickey knows all about that, so he and the folks at Disney always whip up some great Halloween-themed treats for the occasion! The offerings are updated a little every year, and as of writing, Disney is keeping the menu under wraps. However, in years past, there have been goodies like Worms and Dirt Funnel Cake (funnel cake topped with chocolate ice cream, crumbled chocolate cookie, and gummy worms) and yummy drinks like the Not-So-Poison Apple Pie Milkshake (apple pie milkshake with green apple whipped cream, cinnamon donuts, and flavored straws) or the Jack O’Lantern Float (citrus swirl with brown sugar whipped cream and graham cracker crumbles).
One new treat that has been confirmed for 2023 by Disney Food Blog is the White Pumpkin Secret Specialty Beverage.1 Described as incredibly creamy and heavy on the cinnamon, it might be the perfect cuppa for coffee lovers! But there are sure to be so many new treats to delight the taste buds that you could spend most of the party just sampling snacks like you’re at the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival!
However, purchasing these seasonal specialties isn’t the only way to sate your sweet tooth—there’s also trick-or-treating throughout the entire park! Whenever you find a trick-or-treat station, you can fill up your bag with Mars Wrigley goodies. (There are also allergy-friendly treat options—just ask a Cast Member to provide you with a special-colored treat bag, and you’ll be set for the night!)
Is Disney’s Halloween Party Worth It?
As prices for tickets have increased over the years, potential partygoers might be wondering if this fall festival is actually worth the cost of admission. After all, a party ticket is comparable to (if not more expensive than) regular park admission, and the party is several hours shorter than a full day at the park.
Our verdict? If you’ve never experienced Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and it ranks highly on your personal bucket list, it’s probably worth the one-time splurge if you can get past the knowledge you’re overpaying. For Disney diehards who have attended before, the answer is a bit more of a toss-up. If you love this event and have the budget, then we say go for it! However, if you’re feeling apathetic or unsure, we’d say use that big wad of cash for something else.
These are some of the main highlights from Mickey’s Halloween Party, but there’s even more to explore when you attend this not-so-spooky shindig! Are you planning on going this year? And are you going to dress up in a costume? Tell us all about your Halloween hopes and dreams in the comments below!
