9 Best Kept Secrets at Disney Springs

Everybody loves to prioritize the parks when they go to Disney World in Orlando. (We understand…we do the very same thing!)

But how often do you explore Disney Springs and spend significant time there? Some Walt Disney World fans almost never visit, while others make it a point to go on every trip!

Disney Springs used to be called Downtown Disney until it was updated and elevated in 2015, emerging as the fully-fledged Disney Springs that it is today.

Disney Springs’ Most Unique Experiences

Disney Springs has an endless array of fun things to do, from amazing shopping to unbelievable dining, as well as several unique experiences you can only find at Disney Springs. Let’s walk through some of Disney Springs’ best-kept secrets!

1. Shave and a Haircut

First on our list of very cool (but random?) experiences, you can have at Disney Springs: you can get a haircut at The Art of Shaving!

Expect an unparalleled, truly relaxing, and professional experience no matter what you are looking for at The Art of Shaving. Guests can book an appointment and receive a haircut, high-quality shave, or even a scalp therapy treatment! There are several other options for relaxing self-care that you can receive as well. They also take walk-ins, depending on traffic levels!

2. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!

An excellent option for the little ones is to take them to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique has been around for years and is a popular place among any guest who wants to be dressed up and made up to look like a princess or prince!

The Disney Cast Members go all out with makeup and sparkles. Your child goes home with fancy hair, makeup, and even a costume (depending on the package you purchase). You can even select the option for a professional photo pass picture to be taken as well! These are magical memories that will last forever.

(Recently closed for Covid-19, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is back up and running in Disney Springs as of August 2022!)

3. It’s Always Christmas Here

A fun shop that guests love to visit year-round (and especially around the holidays) is Disney’s Days of Christmas. Located in the marketplace, this shop is as festive as can be!

There are dozens and dozens of ornaments, along with holiday-themed decor and kitchen items. The merchandise is always changing! You can even get personalized ornaments here. Check back no matter what time of year it is!

4. The Right Place to be Left (Handed)

Near Disney’s Days of Christmas is an awesome and unique outdoor kiosk that is stationed year-round at Disney Springs. It’s known as Lefty’s, and it is literally a store for left-handed people. If you aren’t left-handed, you might not see why this place is such a necessity, but if you are left-handed, you will absolutely love the store and probably feel very understood!

Everything they sell at Lefty’s is made specifically for left-handed people, including mugs and pens, and all of the things you don’t think about effect left-handed people in their everyday life. This is the perfect place to go for fun gifts or just to make things a little bit easier for the lefty in your life. Be sure to check it out!

5. Candy Land Comes to Life

Calling everyone with a sweet tooth! Everyone knows that when you go to Disney Springs, you absolutely must go to Goofy‘s Candy Company!

Goofy‘s Candy Company is a wonderland at Disney Springs, with tons of sweets all throughout the store, both homemade and prepackaged. Almost everything is coated in sugar!

Every guest’s favorite part of Goofy‘s Candy Company is grabbing a clear plastic bag to fill up with all the candy they can possibly imagine. The stations throughout the parks that have Goofy’s Candy Co. candies are definitely great, but nothing beats going inside the real place at Disney Springs!

6. Let’s Go Bowling!

Disney Springs also has a retro bowling alley called Splitsville Luxury Lanes!

Splitsville is probably the coolest bowling alley you’ll ever visit. They have a full restaurant and bar inside. With tons of lanes, you and your whole crew can bowl for hours and hours. This is a super fun way to end your night after visiting the parks. It’s also a great way to close out your day of shopping at Disney Springs. The vibe inside Splitsville is fantastic. Sometimes Splitsville even has live music!

7. Rising Above the Rest

The Aerophile is the hot air balloon you often see flying above Disney Springs when you’re walking around during the day. Did you know you could actually ride inside it? The Aerophile goes a full 400 feet up, up, and away! Check out the Disney Springs website for more information about reserving a ride.

This is a can’t-miss dessert shop when you visit Disney Springs. You’ll be thinking about your dessert for days!
