Dole Whip. I think we’ve all heard of it. It’s one of the most beloved snacks at Walt Disney World. It’s light and refreshing and the perfect treat for a hot and humid day at the parks. It’s easy to see why so many love it and why its popularity has grown so immensely over the years. It’s a true cult classic and luckily so easily found across all parks (with the exception of Hollywood Studios) and at a multitude of resorts.
Is Dole Whip one of your must-have snacks when you visit Walt Disney World?
What is Dole Whip?
Dole Whip is a dairy-free soft serve frozen pineapple treat. It is served in a cup with either Dole Whip Pineapple or Dole Whip Pineapple and Vanilla Swirl. Some opt for the Dole Whip Float, a decadent treat similar to a root beer float except with pineapple and vanilla soft-serve mixed with pineapple juice.
Select locations (except in Magic Kingdom) will even serve the Dole Whip treat with alcohol. YUM!! Sign me up!
History of Dole Whip and Disney
Ever wonder where the obsession with Dole Whip even started? How did it even get to Walt Disney World?
The relationship between Dole Packaged Foods and Disney spans more than 45 years, starting in 1976 with the sponsorship of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland Park. Dole Whip (originally called Dole Pineapple Whip, but now just called Dole Whip) was created in 1984 and debuted at Aloha Isle at Magic Kingdom Park that same year. And the rest they say, is history!

Instructions
- Put the frozen pineapple, coconut milk, rum, and sweetened condensed milk into a blender.
- Process the ingredients in the blender until thoroughly combined. Note: It should be the consistency of soft-serve ice cream.
